You can pay for the best advertising in the world and still lose money. Not because your ads are bad, but because your page doesn't convert. The difference between a website that's an expense and one that's a customer machine is called a landing page.
What is a landing page
A landing page is a page with a single goal: getting the visitor to take one specific action. Buy, get a quote, book, download or message you on WhatsApp. No distractions: no menus, no news, no ten calls to action fighting for attention.
The structure of a page that sells
A converting landing page always follows the same anatomy:
- ●Headline: the most important promise in one line. If the visitor doesn't understand what they gain in 3 seconds, they leave.
- ●Subheadline: expands the promise without boring. One more line that clarifies who it's for and what problem it solves.
- ●Value proposition: what makes you different. Not "we're the best", but "delivery in 5 days" or "response in under 10 minutes".
- ●Benefits, not features: translate the technical into results. Instead of "analytics dashboard", "you know every week how many customers arrived".
- ●Social proof: testimonials, cases or customer numbers. People trust other customers more than they trust you.
- ●A clear call to action (CTA): a visible button with a specific verb: "Get a free quote", "Book your call", "Message us on WhatsApp".
- ●A short form: every extra field reduces conversion. Ask only for the essentials.
The mistakes that kill your conversion
- ●Asking for too much information: an 8-field form loses half your leads. Start with 2 or 3.
- ●Multiple goals: offering "download, buy and subscribe" at once confuses visitors and converts none.
- ●Slow websites: each extra load second drops conversion by 4% to 7%. If your page is slow, your ad budget is wasted.
- ●Generic CTAs: "Send" or "Click here" don't sell. The button should state the benefit of the action.
- ●No social proof: a page without testimonials or cases is a promise without backup.
The goal is a conversation, not just a sale
In markets like Latin America, the best CTA is often not a direct sale: it's starting a WhatsApp conversation. The page presents the offer and the button takes the visitor straight to a chat where an advisor (or an intelligent chatbot) continues the process.
